Pastor Kutz-Marks

"I believe passionately in the priesthood of all believers. The pastor’s role is to encourage and develop lay leadership in every conceivable aspect of congregational life...."

"Ultimately, each person of faith is responsible for his/her own spiritual development. The church must not supplant that initiative, must not provide simplistic general answers, that could undercut each person’s need to make very personal spiritual connections with God...... The congregation can become the conduit through which the Spirit becomes alive and real for the faithful."

The Rev. Dr. Charles Kutz-Marks has pastored our congregation since Aug. of 1992.  Previous ministries:

>Interim Associate Pastor, Portage United Church of Christ, Portage, MI

Working with Confirmation Classes, Youth Groups, Preaching

>Associate Conference/Regional Minister for the Michigan Conference United Church of Christ and the Michigan Region Christian Church, Lansing, MI.

Administrative oversight of (1.) the statewide camping programs and (2.) the statewide youth ministry programs of both denominations
